This website is the prototype devevelopment of the results that were found throughout the different research stages that had be taken place to date. Itself it can be defined a partially interactive visual guide based of results from experiences and thoughts rather than medical diagnosis and views, which aims to give example on the design and layouts that should be applied when designers are to create accesible and inclusive content for the member of this affected audience.

With at least 3-5% of children diagnosed with ADHD and 2 % of adults of which male diagnosis being more common than female patients. It was important for this project to analyse and understand in more deepth the repeated patteners which individuals feel more affected by.

It is also important to understand how designing to cater for cognitive impairments is not only beneficial user who live with these conditions, these guidelines can also make neurotypical users experiences more smooth and pleasant. Symptoms such as: forgetfulness, restlessness, difficulty dealing with strees. All of these symptoms are mentioned when refering to the common ADHD individuals deal with, however, these can also be suffered and affect any other person due to lack of sleep, stress, emotional breakdowns.

This said there are some aspects that should be taking into consideration when creating content which would fit its purpose:

  • Delivering in more than one format, referring to things such as text-to-speech and multimedia(if using video, implement closed captions ideal).

  • Use of plain language for easier understanding.

  • Attention to details as this can be distractions for user withsort attention span.

  • Minimisation of distractions by removing unnecessary content and adverts.

  • Consistency on the web layouts and navigation.

  • Dividing design process into logical, essential steps withprogress indicators.

  • If in-site formsare implemented, ensure that they are easy to complete by, for example, emphasising when an error has been made with clear bold red writing
