User Testing - Questionnaire

First contact made from users since issued of consent forms and privacy staments was an digital questionnaire.

At the start of the development of this concept, extensive amounts of secondary research was carried out to help understand the perspective of the target audience who suffers from the limitation of accessible designs that are found on the web.

This data serve as a guidance to prepare a combines questionnaire with both open and close ended questions that aim to communicate the designer behind the concept, empathise and connect with the users.


Questionnaire


The questionnaire compromised of six questions which would be sent to the users to complete. It was possible to carry out some of these questionnaires as informal interviews due to the users having the availability to do this. The other participants completed and sent back the form through email due to their busy lifestyles or due to personal preference as they felt more comfortable not having to take part on any virtual or phone call.



Reflecting on the feeback given on this round. Particpants commented that they prefered and unlimited dropped down style menu such as the one seen on figure 1, since it divided the information so it did not look "all crumped up". The use of different colour to hover to hightlight the option they were currently on made it clear of what they progess was.

Two out of one user prefered the user of blue tones with a combination of low contrast contrast colours, with one of the user choosing and all blue-white scale platte. All participants cames to the common point of chosing the palletes which contained a majority of blue tones combinations. This result leads to wanto to research more in depth, why may participants prefer this colours and what others colours could be use to increase interaction and interest, reducing distractions.


Participants agreed that were a extent amount of writing was to be read they would all benefit from a implementations of other multimedia displays sucha videos, images and easy read graphs to reinforce and reassure of they have just learnt. However, this have to breif enough and interesting, so it doesn't require them to have to rewind as this may trigger distractions and lose of interest. They said once interest is lost, they will not use that feature again.


After being questoin if the they would benefit from a feature that would allow them to track their progress user all agree that this would be extremelly beneficial. So it was decided to explore the best ways to implements a feature which would help users trace their steps back, if they were to pause and contininue.


All of data would be evaluated and tested when creating the artect and it would be reflected and impleted in the report.
